How Easy Is It to Bet on Tennis?

October 19, 2022 by tennisbloggers Leave a Comment

Tennis is one of the most graceful games ever played by us. If you’re an avid tennis fan, names like Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, Martina Navratilova, Roger Federer, and Rafael Nadal are bound to excite you!

If you love the crux of tennis, and you feel knowledgeable on the subject, you may also be inclined to place a bet for the upcoming tournaments. The relaxation in the sports betting rules makes it more accessible than ever, particularly in the US.

However, all of this may seem like a daunting task when you’re a beginner. That’s why we’re providing a few tips to get you started today. Let’s dive into the tips for Tennis betting without wasting any more time.

Understand Season, Tournaments, Player Form, and Surfaces

Sharpen your understanding of the environment that surrounds tennis games. This skill will help you make sound choices when placing a bet.

Let’s begin with seasons. Half your dilemmas are solved if you know when a season starts and ends. If you’re a bettor, you can pitch in for the long odds based on pre-season player performances. Alternatively, you can develop odds according to the practice matches if you’re a bookie. Knowing the season timings ensures that you don’t miss a single game.

Additionally, knowing the type of surface and tournaments like Wimbledon, US Open, French Open, etc., can help you decide which players will likely come out on top. For instance, Rafa Nadal was the authority at the French Open. Similarly, Serena Williams, before she retired,  was an absolute menace to players on Wimbledon’s grass surface!

Tennis Betting Strategies Are Important

When it comes to a complex point-system game like tennis, strategies are necessary for bets with reduced risk. Betting on a match result is often not a great way to bet in this game. Instead, we would like you to consider betting on points. When you’re observing a live match between two players, you can always choose to wager on the next point. The real gains lie here.

Betting on a stronger player in a match of two will not yield high rewards. Thus, we suggest betting on the weak player as the second strategy. Fine-tune your skills in reading the game and placing smart bets. Even if the weaker player loses the game, betting on points gained by the weak player gets you higher winnings!

Betting on the sets in a game is another low-risk strategy with a lot of potential. Instead of betting on a game, bet on individual sets. The probability of winning a set is lower than the entire game. Thus, you can make more significant winnings out of it.

Choose the Right Markets

Understanding your flair for predictions is essential before placing a wager. When choosing a market that suits your strengths, this comes in handy. Do you have a flair for tournament predictions? Or are you better at reading the outcome of the volleys exchanged on the pitch?

Different markets in tennis betting serve different kinds of opportunities. Once you know your strengths, you can easily choose between tournament, match, set, handicap, or the accumulator betting markets. Some other off-beat but lucrative markets include in-play betting, handicap betting, and the standard over and under-betting markets.

We also recommend this for you if you want to become a bookie. As a bookie choosing a market where your knowledge is unimpeachable is essential. It allows you to cook up the best odds and offer exciting offers to your punters!

Bankrolling

Bankrolling is one of the most concerted methods of ensuring responsible gambling. If you’re out to become a bookie, you must assist punters. It adds credibility and a ton of goodwill to your brand name.

Alternatively, if you’re a bettor, we recommend learning the bankrolling tips and tricks. When bankrolling, you learn to budget how much risk you can take. The general recommendation is not more than 20% of your current account balance. Additionally, before betting on tennis, ensure that any money you’ve deposited isn’t required for essentials.

Is Betting on Tennis Easy?

Betting on tennis is easy when you have an intricate idea about the game. If you’re a beginner in sports betting, we recommend you check out a few guides online before diving right in. Additionally, we recommend beginners not invest too much at the start. Spend time, learn the ins and outs, and gain the needed experience before wagering large stakes. The online sports betting industry is rising and is here to stay. Enjoy betting on tennis and play safe!

How to Bet on Tennis and Be Successful?

June 17, 2022 by tennisbloggers Leave a Comment

Betting on sports is a lucrative activity that many people undertake intending to make money. Tennis is one of the most popular sports that people bet on due to its popularity and the fact that it is relatively easy to predict the outcome of matches. However, like any other form of gambling, there is always a risk involved in betting on tennis. To be successful at betting on tennis, you need to have a good understanding of the sport and the factors that can affect the result of a match.

There are several different ways that you can bet on tennis, but making informed decisions is the key to success. Betting on tennis matches is not as simple as picking a winner and collecting your winnings; several factors need to be considered before placing a bet.

In this article, we will take a look at some of the things you need to keep in mind when betting on tennis matches to give yourself the best chance of making a profit.

How to Bet on Tennis: Wager Types

The first thing you need to understand is the different types of wagers that can be placed on a tennis match. The three most common types of bets are moneyline, handicap, and total games.

Moneyline

This is the simplest type of bet and involves simply picking who you think will win the match. The odds will reflect the probability of each player winning, with favorites being given shorter odds than underdogs.

For example, if Player A is given odds of 1.50 to win a match against Player B, this means that for every $1 you bet on Player A, you will win $0.50 if they are victorious. On the other hand, if Player B is given odds of 2.50 to win the same match, this means that you will win $2.50 for every $1 you bet on them.

Handicap

A handicap bet is similar to a moneyline bet, but the odds are adjusted to give both players an equal chance of winning. This is done by giving the weaker player a virtual head start, which is reflected in the odds.

For example, if Player A has a handicap of -1.5 and Player B has a handicap of +1.5, this means that Player A must win the match by two clear games for a bet on them to be successful. On the other hand, Player B only needs to avoid losing the match by more than two games for a bet on them to win.

Total Games

A total games bet is a wager on how many games will be played in a match. The bookmaker will set a line, and you can bet either over or under this number.

For example, if the total games line for a match is set at 21.5, you would need to bet on there being 22 or more games played for an over bet to be successful. Conversely, if you bet on there being 21 or fewer games played, your underbet would win.

How to Bet on Tennis: Match Factors

Now that you know the different types of bets that can be placed on tennis matches, it is time to look at some of the factors that can affect the outcome of a match and need to be considered before placing a bet.

The surface on which the match is being played

The type of surface can have a big impact on the outcome of a tennis match. Hard courts are generally seen as being more suited to players who rely on power, while clay courts tend to be slower and favor more consistent players.

The style of play of the two players

The playing styles of the two players can also have a big impact on the result of a match. Some players are better suited to certain surfaces than others, and this should be taken into account when making your bets.

The form of the two players

It is also important to consider the form of the two players heading into a match. If one player is in good form and the other is not, this could be a deciding factor in the outcome of the match.

The head-to-head record of the two players

When two players have played each other multiple times, it is important to look at their head-to-head record to see who has had the upper hand in previous meetings. This can give you an indication of who is likely to win if they meet again.

Injuries and retirements

It is also important to keep an eye on any injuries or retirements that may occur during a match. If a key player is forced to retire, this can have a big impact on the result.

How to Bet on Tennis: Making Informed Decisions

Now that you know the different types of bets that can be placed on tennis matches and the factors that can affect the outcome of a match, it is time to start making informed decisions about your bets.

Choose the Right Sportsbook

The first step is to choose the right sportsbook. There are many factors to consider when choosing a sportsbook, such as the markets they offer, the odds they provide, and the bonuses and promotions they have.

You should also make sure that the sportsbook you choose is reputable and has a good reputation in the industry. You can do this by reading reviews from other users or checking out their licensing information.

Keep an Eye Out for Bonuses and Promotions

When you have found a good sportsbook, the next step is to keep an eye out for any bonuses or promotions they offer. These can be a great way to boost your bankroll and give you more chances to win.

Some sportsbooks will offer bonuses for signing up, while others may offer special promotions for tennis matches. It is always worth checking out the terms and conditions of any bonus or promotion before you claim it, as there may be wagering requirements or other restrictions in place. For example, the FanDuel sportsbook promo code can give you a risk-free bet of up to $500 when you sign up.

Know Your Stuff

It is also important to make sure that you know your stuff when it comes to tennis betting. This means keeping up-to-date with the latest news and results from the world of tennis, as well as knowing the different types of bets that can be placed.

The more you know about tennis, the better your chances of making informed and successful bets.

Don’t Rush into Things

It is also important not to rush into things. If you are new to tennis betting, it is a good idea to start small and gradually increase your stakes as you become more confident.

Rushing in and placing large bets on matches that you know little about is a surefire way to lose money.

Be Patient

Finally, it is important to be patient when betting on tennis. Winning streaks will come and go, and there will be times when you lose money. The key is to stick with it and not get too down when things don’t go your way.

If you can follow these tips, you will be well on your way to becoming a successful tennis bettor.

What To Look Out For When Choosing A Tennis Betting Offer

November 9, 2021 by tennisbloggers Leave a Comment

When it comes to betting on your favourite sports, simplicity is usually the key – however, in the world of tennis, strategy is crucial to ensure you win.

With a multitude of available ways to easily bet on the outcome current and future matches, which may appear complicated on the surface, it is essential that you look for the type of bet suitable to your finances and your desired outcome, alongside the specific terms of such.

Whether you choose to bet via spreads, moneylines, or totals, it is integral that before you place your bet there is a cohesive understanding of how these vary and what you need to look for to maximise your betting potential.

The Right Market

With an extensive list of tennis betting markets to choose from, selecting the one that suits your desired gambling experience can be complicated. The most frequented markets are:

  • Head-to-Head bets.
  • Set and match handicaps.
  • Number of sets.
  • Amount of aces.
  • Correct set score.
  • Outright tournament winner.

Depending on which demographic suits your finances and which type of bet offers the best odds, the ideal market can be established. However, be wary of placing huge wagers on the favourite in the initial rounds of the tournaments, as you will often receive very minute odds and may not receive many winnings from your bet unless the favourite triumphs for a majority of the tournament.

Therefore, the need to correctly identify the market that corresponds with your willingness to take risks is essential prior to placing any bets.

Clear Terms and Conditions

Whilst a majority of gambling companies that provide facilities in which you can use to freely bet on Tennis focus on being straightforward with the process, yet many sportsbooks differentiate when it comes to the terms of use.

Also due to the procedural variations between sportsbooks companies, there may be payment restrictions only included within the fine print. These restrictions can make withdrawing your earnings complicated due to requirements that are not always attainable. Whilst most sportsbooks that offer bets on tennis have minimal requirements before permitting you to release any funds, some draw gamblers in with tempting initial offers, yet place extensive requirements that often withhold funds from betters.

In order to avoid any potential regulatory complications or fees during your betting experience, ensure that you understand and consent to the terms and conditions after thoroughly reading them.

The Best Value For Your Money

Due to the excess of fantastical promotions and deals boasting unrealistic odds and free bets, it is crucial to determine the genuine value of these promotions. With various platforms competing for your attention and your bets, it is important to be able to distinguish between deals that are trying to exploit your finances, compared to those trying to maximise your bets.

If the promotion is only applicable if you’ve made a specific number of prior bets with a minimum spend – then perhaps this is not the most accessible promotion for the occasional better around the prime tennis seasons each year, such companies like Unibet offer great signup bonuses like €/£40 for new tennis customers.. Yet a promotion offering to double your bet or provide you with an incentive applicable for use on a second bet, is a more probable option.

In order to gauge the best value for your money, identifying the nature of your betting habits is a key way to ensure you can maximise the potential of your tennis bets.

Know Your Players

Normally during a tennis season, the seasoned favourites have a tendency to excel within the first opening matches – yet placing your bets on the favourite is not always the most beneficial strategy.

It is crucial to understand the playing style of a broad variety of the players; knowing their performance against left handed players, or knowing their average performance on different pitches; all of which is essential to establishing players potential for success.

Also gaining knowledge on less popular players or the ‘underdogs’ could prove beneficial for hypothesising their performance further into the tournament and provide an insight as to the potential they have at successfully winning against more seasoned players.

In gathering more cohesive knowledge of the players, you could be at a more advanced standpoint and be able to make more sensible bets that aren’t based on biases, simply tactic and performance.

Taking a more active approach in your betting strategy could unlock a series of potential opportunities for you to win big and maximise your betting success when watching your favourite tennis tournaments.

Ultimate Tennis Betting Tips Guide

September 20, 2019 by tennisbloggers

Thousands of enthusiastic bettors place tennis wagers every day. Bookmakers cover most competitions on the ATP and WTA tours. However, let’s not forget about Grand Slam events like the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and US Open. Team tournaments such as the Fed and Davis Cups are also huge hits among punters.

If you’re not familiar with the sport, tennis can be extremely tricky to bet on. Unlike football, for instance, there’s no possibility of a draw. Occasionally, this can have a huge impact on the odds. Several factors need to be analyzed before you place any bets. We’ll break them down for you during this ultimate tennis betting tips guide.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re a newcomer or a seasoned punter. Stay on this page, and we’ll share our expert knowledge with you. Don’t fall into the same old traps and waste your money on pointless wagers. It’s possible to win regularly if you set some time aside to study your bets. Here’s what we know.

Risk Versus Reward

When the top players are competing, it can be difficult to find value for money wagers. The top five players on both the men’s and women’s tours are usually heavy favourites. However, that doesn’t always mean that they always win. Evaluate risk versus reward before you make any decisions.

If one of your selections slips up, are your potential returns worth it? Try not to stake huge amounts of money on tricky games. You’d be surprised at the number of times the underdog wins. If you want to increase your odds, why not create a multiple? You could include Federer and Nadal as part of a treble, for example.

Research The Statistics

It’s incredibly important to analyze stats and results before placing a bet. Luckily, most of the top online bookmakers provide them. This allows you to study form and head-to-head results. What’s more, players can excel on different surfaces. Rafa Nadal at the French Open and Roger Federer at Wimbledon are two examples that spring to mind. Find out what your player’s strengths are and try to build your bets around them.

Furthermore, form is one of the most important metrics to consider. If a player is on a winning streak, their odds will shorten. However, if they’ve lost three out of their last five games, their odds will lengthen. Set a few minutes aside to research the statistics before you start.

Study The Markets

If you have a deep understanding of the markets, more betting opportunities will open up. For instance, if the odds on an outright win are low, you could bet on the correct score or the total number of games in a set.

Most modern online bookmakers also offer a live betting service. If you’re not sure about who’s going to win, you could wait and see which player makes the better start. However, be aware that the odds can fluctuate rapidly during a live match. If Serena Williams wins the first set, for instance, the odds will swing dramatically in her favour.

Two Uzbek Tennis Umpires Banned Due To Illegal Betting Practices

September 22, 2016 by tennisbloggers

Tennis betting is gaining popularity, making it one of the top sports on which people choose to bet. Betting on tennis, either for a winner, or predicting the score, is incredibly fun and something that many tennis fans enjoy to do. It allows fans to bet on their favorite athletes and test their predictions in an entertaining and thrilling environment. But what happens when people play dirty?

Two tennis umpires from Uzbekistan have recently been banned by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) for betting-related offenses. The umpires used their position of power to profit through betting, thus leaving all other tennis fans and punters at a very real disadvantage. Sherzod Hasanov and Arkhip Molotyagin, the two umpires from Uzbekistan in question have received a life ban for their unethical and illegal actions.

Hasanov and Molotyagin were officials at an ITF Futures event that was hosted in Tiberias in Israel. The two umpires used their mobile phones to illegally communicate information regarding the scores of matches to a third party. This third party placed bets on these games, based on the inside information. In addition, the pair of umpires was found to have manipulated the scores of matches in a fraudulent manner; choosing to enter false deuce games in their PDA devices while they were officiating other tennis events. The ITF has stated that its Futures tour has now been recognized as a big problem with regards to corruption, as it is their lowest competition level.

It is very disappointing to see tennis officials abuse their power in such a manner, in order to make some extra money. But thankfully the ITF has been vigilant and astute at weeding out officials who act in unethical ways so that the rest of us can continue to place bets without being unfairly disadvantaged by cheaters. Now that these two umpires have been banned for life, you can rest easy! Sky bet mobile is an incredible online betting service that caters to all of your tennis and general sports betting needs. With only a five Pound minimum deposit, Sky bet gives you a total of twenty Pounds in free bets. If you become a member of their Sky Jet Club, you benefit even further due to the weekly five Pound free bet that club members are gifted.

But the best thing about Sky bet mobile is that it is a mobile service that can be used whenever you want. This marks a departure from previous means of betting, where you either had to visit a bookmaker personally, or access one through a computer. Now, with a mobile app that allows you to place bets easily and efficiently, your life is made significantly better. The Skybet mobile app is compatible not only with your mobile phone, but with your tablet too! It is a streamlined app where you can access and manage your Skybet Sportsbook for betting, as well as your Skycasino or Skybingo mobile accounts.
