Heineken kicked off its incredible 21st year of US Open sponsorship Tuesday night hosting freshly minted Olympic gold medal winners and three-time US Open doubles champions Bob and Mike Bryan at a special “Art of the Perfect Serve” party at the scenic roof-top penthouse lounge at the downtown Dream hotel in New York.
“I have the better serve on the court, but I am not sure about the better serve at the bar,” said Bob Bryan to Heineken’s draught expert and master pourer Franck Evers of he and twin brother Mike before the duo began pouring beers for party guests.
Heineken will also host the annual US Open Player Party at the Gansevoort Park Hotel on Friday night, and, once the main draw of the tournament starts, will provide US Open fans with their popular watering hole option at the Heineken Red Star Café, to be upgraded into a second-floor bar for the 2012 US Open. The Heineken Light Lounge, located near the east entrance to the grounds, next to the US Open bookstore, will also provide fans with a relaxing location to cool off and relax.
“To celebrate over 20 years of US Open sponsorship, we’re excited to give tennis fans an opportunity to enhance their experience on-site at the brand new Heineken Red Star Cafe and revamped Heineken Light Lounge on-site,” said Pattie Falch, Brand Director, Sponsorships & Activation Marketing, Heineken USA.
During the course of the US Open, Heineken will also host numerous contests and fan giveaways to reinforce its commitment to the tournament while always showcasing its on-site presence.
