2024 US OPEN TO CELEBRATE OPEN PRIDE WITH A VARIETY OF EVENTS THROUGHOUT FAN WEEK AND THE MAIN DRAW

WHAT:
The 2024 US Open will expand its commitment to the LGBTQ+ community with celebrations and activations throughout the grounds of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. These events are part of the United States Tennis Association’s (USTA) “Be Open” social responsibility campaign, which leverages the global stage of the US Open to promote and celebrate important messages of progress, positivity, equality, and inclusion on and off the tennis court.
WHEN:
Wednesday, August 21, 3 p.m.: Popular New York City Drag Queen Mr. Jacklynn Hyde will host “Out at the Open” trivia on the Fan Week Stage. This vibrant, family-friendly trivia event will include four rounds on a variety of topics.
Wednesday, August 21, 3:30 p.m.: Contemporary a cappella quartet Smoke Ring will perform on the Fan Week Stage.
Thursday, August 29, 9:30 a.m.: The Queer Big Apple Corps marching band will perform at the opening of gates to welcome fans onsite for Open Pride.
Thursday, August 29, 7 p.m.: Fans with tickets to the evening matches in Arthur Ashe Stadium will receive LED wristbands at the gates for a unique light show choreographed to music by an in-stadium DJ.
