Elina Svitolina has won the biggest title of her career, lifting the Billie Jean King trophy at the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global.
The sixth seeded Ukrainian mounted a three-set comeback over Sloane Stephens, securing the victory 36 62 62 and clinching her fifth title of the season.
“This is a very special moment for me in my career and it will give me plenty of confidence for the season coming ahead,” said Svitolina.
The doubles team of Timea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic won the Martina Navratilova trophy at the WTA Finals, defeating the Czech duo of Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova.
