LUXEMBOURG (Oct. 19, 2012) –The Luxembourg Open lost it’s last seeded singles player on Friday, No. 1 Roberta Vinci, when she was ousted by Venus Williams who is in just her first tournament back since playing in the U.S. Open. It looks like her dog was front and center taking in the match too!
Even without any seeds left, the semifinal match-ups stack up well and will include Daniela Hantuchova, last year’s Luxembourg runner-up Monica Niculescu, and former world No. 10 Andrea Petkovic who is back playing on the WTA Tour after multiple injuries earlier this year.
