Fifteen-years after winning his second consecutive Australian Open men’s singles title over Stefan Edberg, Courier once again returns to the scene of his dual Aussie triumph for another year of television commentary for Australia’s Channel 7 beginning January 14. Nowadays Down Under, Courier is best-known for his post-match on-court TV interviews with the players. In his most recent blog post on the official website of the Outback Champions Series tennis circuit – www.ChampionsSeriesTennis.com – Courier calls out to tennis fans to send in any questions they would like him to ask players during these post-match interviews.

Writes Courier in his blog:“One unique thing about our coverage in Oz is that the booth is literally on center court in the corner which allows us the opportunity to interview the winning player immediately following the match for both TV and the Rod Laver Arena crowd. I call two matches a day (1 day/1 night) typically in their entirety so I’ll do 2 interviews with the guys post-match daily. I keep it pretty light and try to get the personalities to shine by asking some more personal questions that give the crowd a chance to know them a bit better as human beings, rather than the warrior persona they normally only get to see. So here’s my challenge to you at YOUR computer. SEND ME SOME QUESTIONS for the top male players and I will try to ask them on court (as long as they’re above board) and we’ll post the answers here on ChampionsSeriesTennis.com. I don’t interview the ladies so I can’t help you there but will probably speak to most of the top males as they play on the center court mostly.“
Fans can log on to www.ChampionsSeriesTennis.com and go to the “Fan Zone” section and then to the “Player Q and A” section to submit questions.
Courier also reveals in his blog that recently-retired player now TV commentator Justin Gimelstob will be his practice partner in Melbourne the next two weeks as the former world No. 1 trains for the 2008 Outback Champions Series that begins in Naples, Fla., March 12-16. In 2007, Courier finished with a No. 2 ranking on the U.S.-based international tennis circuit for champion tennis players over the age of 30. Todd Martin ranked No. 1 on the 2007 Stanford Champions Rankings ahead of Courier, while Pete Sampras finished at No. 3.
Dear Jim Courier,
Would you be kind enough to ask Novak Djokovic how to pronounce his surname?
It is my understanding it is pronounced Jock a vitch – not JOKE a vitch!
Could you please refrain from using the incorrect pronounciation whilst commenting?!
No one calls Jelena Dokic Doke itch do they? Why don’t you call her Doke itch?
Because it’s dock itch!
Same for Novak!!
Please, please, please! I beg of you!?
Yours truly,
Jan Forrest,

As in rhymes with “jock itch”? Just curious :).
Can anyone think of a meaningful English sentence (even just a noun-phrase will do) containing the consecutive words “dock itch”?
